You won't get better toast. It's there if you want it, and you might think it's the innovation of the century.
Because it makes perfect toast. The large front window is nicely positioned to monitor your breakfast breads so you can pull them out when it's exactly the way you like it.
Why. The idea is to only toast the open side of the bagel and not cook outer, crusty side.
The bagel mode is a little controversial. It only lights the center element.
I think it adds clutter to the controls, but then I want everything to be as simple as an ipod.We retired a Dualit for this excellent Sanyo. It's a great toaster-oven that saves counter space.
This Sanyo (space saver) Toaster oven was purchased to replace the Sanyo model that I have used for 30 YEARS (The old one still worked fine, in fact I passed it on to a friend), but the "Bagle-Best" was a little larger and had more features. Great Product / Highly recommended.
just the right size and space for smaller items without lighting the oven. Highly recommend
The manufacturing quality of this little oven is far above the others. Love the vertical shape as I have little counter space. I looked at sooo many small toaster ovens which were poorly made. I have been away a lot and haven't had time to use it for for baking or reheating. ( that's the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 ) It makes great toast though.
Sanyo SK-7W Space Saving Toasty Oven, WhiteI got mine when I was in school 20 years ago. It will be a great Christmas surprise for her. Recently my mother-in-law was commenting on how much she liked it, but she couldn't find it. I can't believe they still make it. I'm not getting one for myself, because mine is still working just fine. Great product.
